At @TechSphereAcad we were asked to write an article on what we understood about OSINT after going through the resources given to us, and I did that.
Your digital footprint is not just about what you post. It is about what gets pieced together from everything you have ever posted. The photo or video, the comment, and the like. All of it.
And in an era where OSINT can be automated with the use of artificial intelligence, that puzzle gets solved faster than you think.

OWASP stands for the Open Web Application Security Project.
It is a nonprofit foundation focused on understanding web technologies and how they can be exploited.
Think of it as an organization dedicated to making the internet safer by giving developers and security professionals free tools and resources to build more secure applications.
One of the most well-known things OWASP produces is the OWASP Top 10. It is a regularly updated list of the ten most critical security risks to web applications. Organizations and security teams worldwide use it as a guide for what to watch out for and protect against.

Today's class at @TechSphereAcad was really fun! We have been going through the different areas of cybersecurity. We started off with SOC (security operations center), then GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance); now we are at the last phase, which is ethical hacking (this is the part where you clap for me 😌)
Ethical hacking involves simulating cyberattacks on your own systems (or systems you are hired to test) to identify vulnerabilities (weakness). What differentiates you from a hacker is that you have to be given permission by the owner before you can do anything and not just permission but a written, signed permission!

For my next mentorship cohort, I will be selecting 50 mentees. 40 people will be selected through the formal application process. The remaining 10 people will be selected from CyBlack Conference and here on X.
From next month until September, I will be selecting two people each month to join the cohort.
Please note: Do not apply for my mentorship if you do not have access to a functioning laptop, as this is essential for full participation in the programme. All the best ✨
