@ZeroHedge_ Honestly had to be one of the best short opportunities out there once it broke down. You know it’s not going above $100 so your downside is limited.
@ThierryBorgeat Earnings have increased 20% over that timeframe due to increased margins so the revenue figure might be scary but earnings and margin growth are more important.
@PradeepBonde How would you classify the moves in Dell and Arm this year or BE last year? It seems to me they have characteristics of both and might have had an opportunity for both duration and magnitude.
@MichaelPBento That further -0.65% drop after hours on the Nasdaq was too juicy had to start a long on the NQ right before futures closed. 2% away from the 9 Ema on the hourly is a bit insane
Holy shit. @globeandmail editorial board:
“The fact of the crimes committed against Indigenous children at residential schools over many decades does not automatically validate claims that hundreds of students were dumped into unmarked graves in Kamloops and other residential schools. That is an extraordinary assertion, one that requires proof.
That should have been the starting point for the media in May, 2021, when the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation first issued a press release announcing the “confirmation of the remains of 215 children of the Kamloops Indian Residential School” through the use of ground-penetrating radar that identified subterranean anomalies.
The media, including The Globe and Mail, did not initially scrutinize, much less challenge, that assertion. The initial headlines and stories in the media simply stated as fact that the remains of 215 children had been found. Many of those early stories, including in this newspaper, made reference to “mass graves” (a historically fraught phrase that does not appear in the Tk’emlúps 2021 press release).
Perhaps it will be proven, some day, that there are hundreds of unmarked graves at Kamloops. But it was not proven to be true in May, 2021. It is not proven to be true today.
…That evolution in language does not erase the initial failure of journalism. The lesson of 2021 should be: assertions about residential schools should be listened to carefully, and then, just as carefully, held up to scrutiny.”
@MichaelPBento Feels like these moves will reverse by the time futures open. Same thing kept happening in reverse to the downside for weeks now it’s just the other way around.
@stockdatamarket Feels like it was a facade to put the blame on Iran for restarting hostilities. There was significant out flow on Friday wouldn’t be surprised if he restarts and dumps the market before Tuesday
AN INFORMED IRANIAN SOURCE TOLD TASNIM NEWS THAT REPORTS CLAIMING IRAN OFFERED TO SUSPEND URANIUM ENRICHMENT ABOVE 3.6% FOR 10 YEARS ARE “COMPLETELY FALSE.”
THE SOURCE SAID CURRENT TALKS ARE FOCUSED ONLY ON “ENDING THE WAR” AND THAT NO NUCLEAR DETAILS ARE BEING DISCUSSED.
THE COMMENTS CAME AFTER A PAKISTANI DELEGATION LEFT TEHRAN FOLLOWING MEETINGS WITH SENIOR IRANIAN OFFICIALS.
@MichaelPBento Would typically be the precursor to a big final move in commodities. Failed breakdown today I’m in with a tight stop to see if this breaks out to the upside.
@Greenbackd The only problem is who wants to buy the 10-year treasury right now. It looks awful and the yield you get doesn’t seem safe from the value repricing
@davidsettle The nasdaq definitely had multiple 15% declines and subsequent recoveries in the run up to 2000. Part of what I was personally missing in my analysis is how different the SPX is now due to large cap tech weightings. It’s behaving closer to the nasdaq in that period
