@flyingspares That seems crazy - someone has clearly loved that to have spent that much on it, and even then it cant be saved. A replacement engine and it still comes in just to be broken - seems pretty poor , no?
@AutoInfatuation Be interested to know what this is "worth". No MOT is one thing, but no gear selector, and dropping air suspension...thats a whole other story.
This announcement reflects legitimate concerns about children's safety online, but a ban of this scale would change how children access and experience the digital world. The UK Government must ensure that any decisions are informed by children themselves and by independent experts.
We are concerned that a blanket ban may look protective on paper, but instead pushes children into less regulated spaces, where they are less likely to seek help when something goes wrong. Children growing up in poverty are likely to be among those most affected.
If ministers want to make the online world safer, the answer is not simply keeping children off platforms. The focus must be on providing better support for parents by making platforms safer by design, tackling addictive and high-risk features such as stranger contact, live streaming, nudification tools and unsafe AI systems, so that children are not exposed to harm online.
@theoptionmonkey@GordonRamsay Ramsay confessed years later that he'd arranged for the book to be stolen himself. It was something to do with Marco Pierre White and the owners of Aubergine. Part of the story is in his book Humble Pie, but not the whole thing.
Since @KwikFitCS are refusing to acknowledge my emails, complaint form and will not call me, I thought I’d share this with everyone here. Last July, the cowboy mechanics at Kwik Fit told me that whilst they had my car for 6 hours, they had replaced the CV boots on my car. Today, I took it to my garage for its MOT and the tester revealed that Kwik Fit had not touched them. Perished rubber exceeding a year was obvious. So Kwik Fit took £300 from me and did not complete any of the work listed on my receipt. I’m hoping that this tweet will maybe jumpstart them into having a conversation with me and giving me my money back. Given that the cost of living is extortionate generally, I think everyone could do without Kwik Fit’s daylight thievery.
