@testing521 We are guilty before God because of our sin. But when we are given the righteousness of Christ "by the Spirit", which happens because of our faith in Jesus, we are guiltless before God. The new birth (see Col 2:11-13, 1Cor 12:13) seems to be the catalyst.

1 Cor 6:11 washed, sanctified, justified "by the Spirit", also Titus 3:5 regeneration and renewing "of the Holy Ghost". New birth is "of the Spirit" Jn 3

Biblically it seems Faith>New birth>Justified
Biblical is greater than logical

@IFFFMEISTER @testing521 Baptism in Acts 2 and 22 is an OT Jewish baptism that was connected with repentance & baptism for purification. To Paul it's revealed that, in Christ, we are baptized by the H.S. for salvation Jew or gentile. (Acts 1:5,1 Cor 12:13,Col 2:11&12) There is no water in Rom 6.
