@AugusteBardamu Ending slavery was a good thing done by good people. Paying money seems like a better choice than Civil War. The only successful slave rebellion was Haiti. Many people of all races died and Haiti ended up as the poorest country in the Americas.

@Tasetireloaded2 Many of the immigrant labors were Irish, post potatoe famine. They did not want to fight to free the slaves because they thought slaves would take their jobs. Life was hard for most people on earth until latter part of the 19th century. The industrial revolution killed slavery.

@ActiveRetirees If u eliminate cap,social security becomes a flat tax. The problem is federal and many state income taxes r progressive. If income is near 300000 the fed tax rate is 35%, CA tax is 10%, and SS w/o limit would add 6.2 for u and another 6.2 from your employer. Marginal rate of 57%

@MorePerfectUS The government keeps fixing healt care. Obama care was the last fix. Maybe the government should focus on making the current system better by getting rid of the fraud they enabled. All immigrates should not receive benefits that exceed what their family has paid in.

@SenSanders The $4.4 trillion is largely in equity, stocks and bonds. Who will buy what that the billionaires are forced to sell. If the middle class buy the assets, they would need to cut back spending. The biggest question is what about the $40 trillion government debt?

@UncolonisedMind Long before any Europeans showed up Africans were selling slavesto Arab Muslins. Most estimates havev more slaves going east than west. In the 16 & 17 hundreds it would have been too expensive to send European armies to hunt slaves in the interior.

@drboycewatkins1 People would flock to black owned businesses if they provided something of value to the consumer. Many businesses would have predominately black employees if they were better than alternative choices. We need to focus on finding businesses and jobs that fit the individual.
