First trip to Costco to buy a rotisserie chicken that came right off my farm the checkout counter of the worlds second largest retailer. And they are so good! ๐๐
@CBKimbrell I raise these birds. Coscto sells over 100 million of them a year. You maybe donโt serve rotisserie chicken on holidays. But no better value in protein the rest of the days out of the year!
@FarmrHuntr Fall early seeding regardless if drill, broadcast etc. always seems disappointing. I get it done before the snow flies and it all looks about the same come spring. In SWIA here.
@FarmrHuntr@UnverferthMfg 48 bu. Technically. Inhafe had some issues with the frame on the unverferth harrow though so I donโt fill it that full on our rough farms (most of them).
@MaxROIFarmer Steering radius. I donโt want to have to have an acre headland to turn around in. Bigger cab with electric shifting tranny like 8400 JD of similar era.
@CBKimbrell@JerodMcDaniel People can have issues with the hog and poultry contract growers all they want. I do as well. I also know of almost none that regret going down that path. Contract feeding chickens has been the best investment my farm has made.
@embdenhaymaker Good attitude. The biggest thing statistically is to not be alone and donโt enter a bin you canโt touch the floor on. I donโt consider the sweep a danger. As more large bins show up on farms the more deaths there will be. Happening way too often. Need that attitude of safety. IMO
@josh_knauss@Qconnealy19 If it was going to corn, Iโd kill it pretty quick. Full rate of gly. Ideally warm day before, of, and day after app. Plant when its brown. Probably 2 weeks after termination.
@CBKimbrell@KaceyAukema@Benefitsguynick You canโt do that. Its being handled appropriately. The manner in which commercial poultry is raised you are nearly guaranteed to spread the disease. You will be disposing of birds with active infections. There will have to be feed trucks, live haul trucks, service techs.
