Husband / Father / Pastor / Proof positive that life change can happen in any stage of life.Associate Pastor - Adult Discipleship Senior Adults @christcommunity
As sinners, the most wonderful thing that could ever happen in our life is salvation, or healing. It means that the most wonderful thing that I could ever be called is not boss, or husband, or father, or friend, but "child of God."
“You are not to do as we are doing here today; everyone is doing whatever seems right in his own sight”
Deuteronomy 12:8
Look what Moses tells the Israelites - to obey the Lord’s commands - it is clear that we still struggle with these very same sins today.
@KyleCrabbs What is the measurable win(s) for Malik and our team’s plan for next year? It can’t really be wins or yards, etc.
how do we measure the growth, leadership, etc that will prove that Malik is our guy and we move forward with him. I cant wrap my mind around what this looks like.
It doesn’t matter if you came to know Christ at 7 or at 70. It was miraculous.
You were dead in your sins and now, you have the Hope of Jesus for eternity. Your story is powerful.
There is no good or bad testimony.
Your testimony is the story of God's grace in bringing you from death to life. Your testimony is the walking, breathing example that God is who He says He is.
Today and everyday, your testimony is worth sharing.
“God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?”
Numbers 23:19
Never underestimate the powerful ministry of presence. Pastors worry too much about having the right words to say. Instead of seeing the best way to care for a hurting person might be to simply sit, be still with them, and listen.
According to @AlistairBegg when asked what it means to be REFORMED:
1) Start by reading your Bible
2) Become Biblical
3) You’re Reformed
I mean - he’s not wrong.
@KyleCrabbs I hear the concerns with the schedule quirks with starting off on the road and division games coming so late - what are your thoughts that those might be plus’s though - considering we should be playing better as we start to gel and the season goes on? I think there is a balance.

5 things I learned now that I’m 50 . . .
➡️God is good all the time.
➡️My wife and daughter are the greatest earthly gifts that God has entrusted me with.
➡️Character matters. Friends, family, career.
➡️You can be both humble and hungry
➡️Who you surround yourself with matters
Several years ago, I found myself becoming quite the outspoken, cynical critic of many aspects of the SBC, happy to chime in on any and every debate, and locking arms with fellow individuals and groups who shared my frustration, willingness to air grievances and passion to...
Alien discourse is apparently ramping up. I’ll admit I don’t have super well-developed thoughts on this, but my immediate response is simple: Aliens do not change the essential nature of what occurred at the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
As a general rule: When theological speculation reaches its limits, begin at the resurrection and reason from it.
Jesus rose from the dead. If that is true, and I believe it is, aliens within a theological program must accommodate to that reality. I’m not accommodating Jesus to aliens. Aliens, if real, accommodate to Him.
Bottom line: If aliens were proven true, they do not change the fundamentals of my theology.

Lies from the enemy are usually like this . . . small, get the foot in the door, just a little, just this once, you deserve this ... but do NOT be deceived. The enemy knows how to manipulate and bend the truth, so it is sweet music
Stand firm in Christ and the Truth of the Gospel
Behind every temptation, Satan whispers these lies:
"God won't see."
"You deserve this."
"It's only this time."
"It doesn't really matter."
"This won't cost you anything."
"You can stop anytime you want."
"God will forgive you if you give in."
"What God gives you isn't enough."
