Rocky began as a script about one man's struggle, but five decades later, it has become a global symbol of perseverance that transcends borders. As we celebrate America 250, people still show up to run those same steps Rocky ran in 1976, all 72 of them.

Outside of Kirby Smart, I think Vanderbilt’s Clark Lea is the best coach in college football.
He has the perfect balance of being a great motivator, an outstanding leader, & one of the smartest minds in the game. What he’s built at Vanderbilt is amazing!
Overprotected kids become unprepared adults.
Dawn Staley nailed it.🔥
You can’t shelter your child from every hard moment and then expect them to handle adversity when it counts.
Hard is the lesson.
What’s one hard lesson sports taught you that helped later in life? 👇
Losing Ted Turner and Bobby Cox in the same week reminded me of this quote from when Turner fired Cox in 1981.
Luckily for Braves fans, the best was yet to come

Throwback to 2023 NCAA Tournament coverage...
Charles Barkley said he used to shower in his uniform, leaving Clark Kellogg in hysterics. And the late, great Greg Gumbel couldn't believe it.
Chuck: "But it's easier to do it that way." 🏀🤣#MarchMadness
"Today everybody wants to talk about their rights and their privileges.
50 years ago, people talked about their obligation and responsibility.
You have obligations to other people.
If you want to fail, you have the right to fail.
You do not have the right to cause other people to fail because you do not do everything to the very best of your ability."
I’m in love with this sentence:
“The degree to which a person can grow is directly proportional to the amount of truth he can accept about himself without running away.”
Baseball is such an amazing teacher of life
Today on Opening Day, the Vandy catcher hit 3 nuke shot home runs. Each of them cleared the fence by 50 feet and one may have been the furthest ball I’ve seen hit
He also threw a 90 ft toss away that cost his team the game
He did 3 things that not one player in 1,000 could do, but cost Vandy the game by failing to execute on a task that 99% of players can
And isn’t that just like life? How many hidden geniuses are there who can do the uncommon, but you’ve never heard of them because they struggle to execute on what’s common?
Your weaknesses may never be your strengths, but you have to get them to the point where they’re not taking you out of the game
Adversity isn’t the enemy.
It’s the ticket. 🎟️
"If you learn to use it right, it will buy you a ticket to a place you couldn't have gone any other way." - Tony Bennett
What adversity is shaping you right now?
Paul Skenes says USA manager Mark DeRosa wanted to give him time to decide, but Skenes didn't need it
"I don't need time... In high school I thought I was going to be flying jets. As a fan of the game I was like 'If I ever get the chance to do this, I'm never saying no.'"
