Yesterday was a special day for all of us at Connect.
One of our original Khayelitsha players, Lukhanyo Vokozela, made his URC debut for the @StormersRugby.
Coach John Dobson spoke about his journey at the post-match press conference. Thanks to @MarcoJacobsZA for the footage.
These coaches are nurturing mentally strong, resilient athletes. Zimbabwe's sporting future is in excellent hands!
I canโt wait for more chances to contribute.

Reflecting on the Sport Psychology for Coaches training course I delivered in Zimbabwe ๐ฟ๐ผ
Working with such dedicated and knowledgeable coaches was amazing - the kind of work that reminds you why you do what you do.
I was so impressed by the caliber of coaches in the room. Their knowledge was exceptional, their commitment inspiring, and their genuine care evident in every discussion. The peer-to-peer learning was a highlight as coaches learned as much from each other as from the curriculum.
@SAJuniorRugby@WorldRugby We also commend Tyrone Gombe, alongside Ikey coaches Senna Esterhuizen & Joel Carew, for their vital roles in securing Zimbabweโs qualification for the 2027 @rugbyworldcup . This historic achievement is a significant moment for @SablesRugbyZW ๐

I will be in Harare from 26-29 August 2025 to run a workshop on Sport Psychology for Coaches.
Attendees will be empowered with knowledge + key skills they can apply in their roles, helping them to transform their coaching philosophies and elevate their impact.
@ShayneMakombe Thanks mate, found it in the end so was able to watch. Impressive performance, particularly encouraged by the set piece. Though the line out was outstanding.
