BREAKING: Qualified immunity has been DENIED for @GPDNC cops Maurice Taylor III and Cierra Brooks.

Shortly after we released the video footage of Taylor and Brooks assaulting and wrongfully arresting veteran Joshua Rohrer, and tasing his PTSD service dog Sunshine (who later died while Joshua was still in jail), all of Joshua's charges were dropped.

Since then, Joshua has been pursuing a lawsuit against the city, the PD, and Taylor and Brooks.

Taylor and Brooks' attorneys have fought for them to get qualified immunity.

With this decision, they will face their day in court for what they did.

Justice for Joshua and Sunshine.
