You know when I knew military service didn’t suck?
When I had to fly a mission at 4 AM Germany time and the Air Force opened the dining hall at Ramstein to serve me and my crew breakfast. We had a 24 hour duty day in front of us. We were the only ones there.
They did a full spread, omelets to order, eggs anyway, creamed beef on toast, etc. And the coffee was really good!
Aim High!
(What did we call this in the military?)
I wrote a letter to my daughter as she heads off to college. In it were ‘snippets’ to remember and abide by. Here is #3:
“Character and integrity will ALWAYS take you farther than resume or accomplishments.”
Monday Motivation: You Don't Have to Figure It Out Alone! You don't have to figure it all out by yourself. Some of the most powerful lessons come from watching the people around us, friends, peers, and those who push us to keep going! Their journeys and their persistence give us permission to keep going and show us what's possible. Inspiration doesn't always have to come from the greats; it's drawn from people who show up consistently for you and your mission. So take a minute to be thankful for the teammate to the right and to the left, and let those peers help you avoid the most expensive school of all time, that school of hard knocks! And if you’re not in a room with people who can mentor you, who can push you to be better than yesterday, get in that room! #MondayMotivation #YouAreNotAlone #CommunityOverCompetition #PeerSupport #Persistence #Inspiration #KeepGoing #RealLifeSuccess #Motivation #GrowthMindset #10X #Ax2
