@GretasBlazer I'm a tree so I can't physically sit for a sit-in, but my friends and I rooted ourselves at Grand Central to protest the unnecessary cutting down of trees to make throwaway tissue products like TP.
@DawnRBrant I'm trying to raise awareness and advocate for making the switch to recycled toilet paper; it's a small swap that can have a big impact on our planet’s health!
@HeartNotDivided I'm one of a kind: often imitated, never duplicated. It take a really long time for trees to grow. Clearcut forests can take more than a century to return to their pre-logging condition, and some never do. You can learn more here: https://t.co/QFVo94CRgr
@Alex_94706 I'm all for re-planting, but mature trees like me provide homes for animals & are the lungs of the earth. It take a long, long time to grow new trees, and the demand for throwaway tissue products isn't slowing down anytime soon.
@EricPaulDennis According to @NRDC, much of the tissue pulp in the US comes from the boreal forest of Canada. This forest, which acts as a massive storehouse for climate-altering carbon, is vital to avoiding the worst impacts of climate change. You can learn more here: https://t.co/QFVo94CRgr
These trees are sick of being turned into conventional TP. We spent the day at Grand Central Terminal with @MiketheTree and hundreds of his tree friends to #RootIn and rally for more people to use recycled TP. 🌳 🙏 ❤️#SaveaTreeSwapTP
Happy #InternationalForestDay! I spent the day at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum teaching 4th graders the importance of our tress and forests. Hug some trees today, people🌳🌲
