#TDIH 1970, an explosion in an oxygen tank damaged the #Apollo13 spacecraft, leaving the crew to circle the Moon and return to Earth without a lunar landing.

The crew of #Apollo13 were Jim Lovell, commander; Jack Swigert, command module pilot; and Fred Haise, lunar module pilot. They used lunar module Aquarius as a lifeboat, powering down command module Odyssey and traveling most of the way home in the two-person lunar module.
