Today, we released the REV8 OS family: the world’s first native color lidar sensors.
✔️Powered by our breakthrough L4 and L4 Max Ouster Silicon
✔️First patented native color lidar sensors with point for point 3D color vision
✔️Radically upgraded OS0, OS1, and OSDome sensors with industry‑leading resolution, range, and reliability ✔️Introduced the flagship OS1 Max with 256 channels of high-definition sensing up to 500 m in all directions with a 45° FOV
✔️Auto-grade, cybersecure, and designed for functional-safety (ASIL-B, SIL-2, PLd)
✔️Designed for low-cost, high-volume production deployments
🧵We’ve redefined the meaning of lidar itself.
@money_cruncher What about a Coverdell? Not common, low limits, but who the hell is putting in more than a couple hundred bucks a month w a baby? you aren’t forced to invest in their funds like a 529, like a Roth, and you can roll it over.
@elonmusk Local governments contract with a federal org to contract and kill/poison/strafe coyotes, which both costs a fortune and doesn’t work to actually control them!
@waitbutwhy getting what I think is fundamentally going to cause less human suffering. (yes, that's probably a fallacy because some people probably believe that there are some things more important) We should go to hexademical for political party? "Oh, you're Tea Party? I'm an 92A2 5AD5."
@waitbutwhy and "0001000110010100010000101111111110" for democrat. Where that 6th digit is abortion and the 33rd one is marijuana. Seriously? What if I think the 17th digit should be a 1 and both of them think it's a zero? Now I'm a "3rd party" and because of ^ above, I have no chance of
@waitbutwhy And that's dumb because what if I want something in between yes or no, or a "let's try this?" It sure as heck doesn't make sense that there'd be EXACTLY 2 parties to choose from who, like a binary "double-word" choose "1001001010100010010110101101010101" for Republican
@waitbutwhy There are too many issues to fall into exactly 2 parties. There's 34 topics on this website separating Democrat and Republican. 34 binary " yes or no" votes would be 2^34 Power different possible political parties. That's 17 billion political parties for 40 Million voting pop
@elonmusk@DOGE Read up on Truman before he was president. He ran audits during the war that saved Millions of dollars and soldiers lives. People were scared.
