During MozCon, Rand Fishkin's challenged every #SEO to work towards understanding the Google Algorithm.
Here's one neat way of doing this: I created a Collab Notebook that reads the Google API Documentation Leak and summarizes it using AI.

@heymikenash Hitchcock suggested I reach out. What channels do you need it to cover? Happy to chat live — email me: [email protected].
At a conference right now but free Friday or early next week.

NOTE: I still highly recommend reading the API leaks, or bouncing around using ctrl+f to find interesting mentions of things like spam, and authority -- but this has pulled together a few interesting insights that weren't on my radar.

It creates two outputs:
1) leak_rawoutput.txt: Extracts all tidbits of information that may be relevent
2) summary_of_leak_output.txt: Summarizes all the tidbits into a more concise, digestible summary.
@Pete_Bowen The hook feels a bit generalized. "When you launch a Google Ads campaign you trade money for data." You also trade money for leads ;)
That said, I love story, your recommendations, and the general concept of the post!
@SERPalerts Thank you @SERPalerts for everything you do! Can't think of another resource on the web that helps keep track of how the SERP Results are changing on a day-to-day and week-to-week basis. 🙌
@neilpatel Why show links to places to answer a question when you can just answer it? Search Engine's in their current state don't make a ton of sense. Google is adapting with SGE. The second that's rolled out to everyone, everyone's behavior is going to reset back to "ask Google" #SGE#SEO
🔴 BREAKING: Here's Google's patent behind Google's SGE, their experimental search engine with AI generated results.
This patent was filed on March 20th, a few weeks before the first announcement and beta release of SGE.
Here's how SGE works, according to the patent... 🧵⤵
@Melanie_Balke Had a great relationship with my manager. I gave 4 weeks notice once. I regularly worked 60+ hours weekly.
They said my last day was in 10 days. Lost benefits and pay I was expecting and it ended up causing a lot of issues.
Not sure your takeaway should be universally applied
@Moz Appreciated. So if it hasn't changed from the initial estimation it's safe to assume Moz has not yet developed a Page Authority for that page yet? Any ways to force the platform to compute on demand?
@Moz , quick question for you -- your pro tool is showing a page authority dating as far back as the default date range (11 months) on a new page I just created. Is the historical data just a reflection of the last known datapoint?
