Excellent algorithms to save the day!
▪️When assessing morphology, pay attn. to arc, thickness, length and modularity of CCL.
▪️Proceed along appropriate arm of algorithm.
▪️after initial attempt at modification, assess to see if modified at all! Then proceed accordingly..

Dr. @mbmcentegart breaking down the assessment of Calcified Coronary Lesions (CCL)
▪️First- assess CCL morphology.
▪️OCT, when compared to IVUS, allows assessment of thickness of CCL.
Out of 10 stent expansion indices, which IVUS index was associated w/ TLR and stent #thrombosis? This substudy from ADAPT-DES showed that stent/vessel area at the MSA site was superior to absolute MSA or other expansion indices. https://t.co/OnUXMJIQmG #JACCINT#CardioTwitter
