EID HOLIDAYS : REVIEW REQUEST

Current Eid ul Adha holiday notification covers 26–28 May only, while 29 May falls on the 3rd day of Eid.

A respectful appeal to the Government of Pakistan, Prime Minister, Ministry of Interior, and Ministry of Religious Affairs to review the notification and consider extending facilitation for the private sector as well.

Eid should be equal relief for all, not limited by sector.

I would like to bring to your kind notice an issue that is affecting millions of private employees across Pakistan.
For the last two years, the government has announced Eid holidays mainly according to government employees’ working and off days.

Current Eid ul Adha holiday notification covers 26–28 May only, while 29 May falls on the 3rd day of Eid.

For government employees with weekend offs, the impact is limited. But for Pakistan’s private-sector workforce, this effectively cuts short the final day of Eid celebrations.

A respectful appeal to the Government of Pakistan, Prime Minister, Ministry of Interior, and Ministry of Religious Affairs to review the notification and consider extending facilitation for the private sector as well.
