Flipping through the major newspapers this morning and not finding any profiles of Biden voters in diners who felt left behind these past few years and are excited for the new governing majority. Why is that?
THIS is why Democrats must get rid of the filibuster, enact strong voting rights, expand the Supreme Court, and offer statehood to PR and DC.
It's not about "winning." It's about ensuring that democracy will survive.
There is no going back. We either go forward or we fall.
Pushing Biden's administration is great. But I don't just want people pushing Dems. Some of you have Republican reps. Push them too. Flood both parties phone lines, emails, mailboxes etc with demands. Hold all the feet to the fire. All of them from the dogcatcher on up.
Y'all, people know that Joe Biden isn't some magical savior. We know there's still work to be done. Accountability, all of that.
But today, people get to be happy *just* because trump is gone.
This has been ROUGH. Seeing him leave is reason to celebrate.
Let folks have that.

@meep5659 @RizzySaint @shoe0nhead what if i told you...the government taking all of our money...and giving it back to people who need it... IS 'communities doing this', in historically the most efficient and effective way possible
I'd be willing to bet a lot of money that the GOP will start crowing about "executive overreach" the moment Harris starts breaking ties in the Senate & I am pre-emptively begging the media to not treat these accusations with anything resembling credulity.
