@THE_njm@IslesTerritory Honestly just keep away from orange or teal and I’m happy. I keep saying grey because it’s not used much for jerseys. Personally I feel like the fisherman era grey is a solid base if that route is done. I’m also the person who wanted the R.R. 1.0 to get turned into the main uni.
@BrianGavin2@kb30309@IslesDen Oh I know. I can’t see this team being anywhere near bad enough to have good odds for that pick. I’m expecting the barely missing it spot, where if we do move up by winning we’re in the 4-6 spot.
@kb30309@IslesDen This team is going to be in the playoff hunt again but if we fall out and have the chance to draft top 5, there’s 2 obvious names on this list I’m interest in. Little Danny Nelson and Freddy Meyer Junior.
@ryanjenkins11@islanders_takes If there’s expansion in 2 years, you only have to worry about protecting guys not on an ELC. You’d think they protect: Schaefer, Heineman, Holmstrom, Horvat, Barzal, Ritchie and Sorokin. Then they can pick whoever with the next 2 spots and leave all the other out for expansion.
@NHL_Watcher Plenty of room come 2028 for these kids to prove themselves. Ideally this year is a development stopgap and then the kids show up for the 27-28 season and forward. The big plus is that most of the almost ready kids are wingers so they’ll have veteran centers to learn from.
@RTaub_@FriedgeHNIC Just you wait. We’ll see this headline next summer: Scott Malkin to light up the Empire State Building in Islanders colors in honor of Matthew Schaefer’s extension.
@NDRedEagle If DeBoer can get him to play like he did when he first came to the Isles, he’s going to be a very good addition to the 3rd line. He has the toolset but doesn’t consistently tap into it.
@stefen_rosner@TheElmonters Eklund and George were both well ahead of their piers. Poletin looks like he’s going to develop into a solid bottom 6 player that’s an absolute pain to play against.
@brasqo@HorvatEnjoyer14@RTaub_ I’ll give you one better. 3rd round of 2006. Look at who went the 2 picks after ours. I would have personally drafted #75 in that draft over who we took though.
@rattmartin You’re really worried about a summer when the free agency list is on par to 2016? I’d rather let this season rock with what we have then next season start to make real adjustments once these contracts expire and the youth (Eklund, Aitcheson, Eiserman, Gustavsson) has more exp.
