I used to spend hours setting up Ubuntu servers, only to break SSH access halfway through.

After locking myself out of servers one too many times, I built a 3-stage automation...

My checklist now:
• Test SSH config before applying (`sshd -t`)
• Configure passwordless sudo early
• Fix Docker's UFW bypass (this one bit me hard)
• Always have Tailscale as backup access

The real win? I can experiment freely knowing I can rebuild if/when things break.
