FIFA has explicit statutes preventing political or government interference. This should be a resigning matter for a repeatedly disgraced FIFA President.
This is doing so much. No one said a team can’t play rough. The problem was that they were doing all of that in view of the referee and he pretended not to see it. You don’t have to be a delicate flower to not like players getting elbowed and there being no punishment for it.
Will we get an apology from all those pro-Israel people who screamed on this hellsite throughout 2024 ‘why won’t they just release the hostages?’ as an attempted justification for every Israeli war crime?

Obviously my response was to OP pointing out gaming the rules(pushing up last second or dummy snap) happens in all sports not just soccer.
@DaggettEddie@mheathx182 Don't they do this in American football when the qb switches up the tempo of the snap or does a dummy snap.
Plus it's part of the game of cat and mouse offensive teams try to counter this and it can backfire on the defense.

@JasonTheHH@JamesSurowiecki Exactly it's a matter of taste but I don't consider long ball football entertaining. I don't want to see the ball punted at 6 foot strikers for 90 mins I want to see dribbling, intricate passing, perfectly timed thru balls etc.
