@SophiePetkar @MrTs_NQTs Yes I completely agree it’s breaks my heart to think they won’t be included in the same way as others! I plan on using pictorial instructions for Monday and then translating parts when I know the language x

Please help! I have an EAL child starting in my class after half term. She’s never been in school before & speaks no English at all. Best tips & recommendations? I’m thinking of buddying her up and visual timetables etc, but anything else I should be doing? @MrTs_NQTs

@SophiePetkar @MrTs_NQTs We’re not entirely sure - we have been told she is from India so we are assuming Hindi but of course there’s lots of languages spoken there so we’re not 100% and haven’t been informed either way x

@MrsKirstBarrett @MrTs_NQTs I’m in year 2 so 6-7 years old. I plan on buddying her with two very friendly girls that are chatty and kind and will make an effort to include her. Hoping everything will fall into place but just want to be prepared!
