Had a little bit too much fun with this open evening activity! To showcase our recent move to the Edexcel Medicine in Britain topic we made a functional urine chart that guests could use to diagnose Medieval patients like a Medieval physician. #historyteacher
On this day 372 years ago, the Battle of Worcester unfolded, shaping British history. It marked the climax of the English Civil War, a conflict that reshaped the nation's political landscape. #Worcester#WorcestershireHour

And that's a wrap on my last day at placement 2 and as a PGCE! I am so thankful for all the experiences I have had at DSHS and will miss the history team dearly. Above all, I'lI miss the incredible kids that l've had the pleasure of teaching for the last 5 months!
Cracking day with #History#PGCE#Secondary ITTs @education_uw with @teachistory1066 highlighting strategies for incorporating & enhancing local heritage at KS3. Lovely, enthusiastic & very receptive group. Good luck all!
I have officially secured a history teaching position for my ECT years! I am lucky enough to be returning to my first placement school. I am over the moon to be joining such an incredible team! 👩🏼🏫🍎
Play-doh isn’t just for kids! Today we looked at teaching history at A Level, and different activities we can do in class to create discussion. We used play-doh to create a historic event before guessing each others creations. @UWPGSEC#historyteacher#teachertwitter
Our PGCE student has been brilliant this term. She’s hard-working, listens to advice and acts upon it. The most impressive thing is the five feet significance thermometer that she has built. It even has moving parts. The pupils love using it! #historyteacher
Absolutely blown away by the beautiful poppies Year Nine have made this week. Wreaths are all ready for our whole school Remembrance Service tomorrow. Feeling very proud ❤️

I did my first solo lesson today! I got to teach a lovely year 10 class about Witchcraft in the early modern period. It was definitely giving Halloween vibes🎃👻
I’ve had the privilege of speaking with the lovely ladies who work in the building that was formally King Charles II’s house in Worcester. We chatted about the Battle of Worcester and they showed me the original fireplace which now has an impressive memorial plaque
Wow what a day!! We've all been thinking extremely hard!! Thank you @The_History_Man for sharing with us your expertise and insights in using archives to enable students to engage with history... we are all feeling very inspired! @UkNatArchives@UKNatArcEdu@UWPGSEC
I had an eye opening day at Witley Court yesterday! It was really great to start thinking about how to use local heritage to teach kids outside of the classroom. I’m also a sucker for historical ruins. #UWPGSEC
