@lamb_heart_tea 2. The deeper misconception about History that student may already have before studying the topic to be addressed through curriculum planning. Such as Hitler rose to power through violence rather than democracy or that that migration to Britain didn’t happen till Post- WW2.
@lamb_heart_tea I think of two different types of misconception. 1. The factual- that can be fixed through explanations, retrieval, reteaching such as confusing hyperinflation 1923 and Great Depression 1933. 1/2
@lamb_heart_tea In addition to those previously listed. P.M.H Bell’s Twelve Turning Points of World War has helped us up the challenge in Year 9 and Marc Morris Anglo-Saxons, Norman Conquest and King John have really helped with the disciplinary knowledge as well as substantive in medieval units
