After eight years of relentless negotiation. and months of structured, constructive dialogue fulfilling the commitment under the Return-to-Work Formula of 10 July 2024, Clinical Officers have secured the first Collective Bargaining Agreement between Kenya Union of Clinical Officers @kucoOficial and the Ministry of Health @MOH_Kenya.
This landmark labour settlement affirms fair labour standards, professional recognition, and strengthens Kenya’s health system. Salute to the Green Army, every Clinical Officer whose unity and resolve delivered this victory.
Our sincere appreciation to Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Bare Duale @HonAdenDuale and Principal Secretary Mary Mothoni @psmarymuthoni for constructive, responsive engagement, and to S. A. Aden Gedow Harake for principled stewardship of the negotiating committee.
This is a labour win for Clinical Officers but also patients as the agreement cements the role of Clinical Officers in advancing Universal Health Coverage and delivering on the government’s Afya kwa wote agenda.
Today we celebrate progress. Tomorrow we focus on faithful, good-faith implementation, rigorous monitoring and accountability.
Congratulations once again to every Clinical Officer. @WilliamsRuto@_KithureKindiki@citizentvkenya@ntvkenya@KTNNewsKE@Senate_KE@ptason@K24Tv@tv47digital
@kUCOofficial Clinical Officers are the backbone of healthcare, yet we’re underpaid, overworked, and ignored. BSc Clinical Officers face stalled promotions, unclear career paths, and unfair deployment. Fix the system. Respect the cadre.
SIGN THAT CBA!

HOW TO PREVENT MORE MURDERS
1. Stop using @SafaricomPLC lines.
2. Draft and save this Emergency Alert on your @X, @Meta, @WhatsApp and @signalapp: “My name is XYZ. I have been abducted by DCI/Police/NIS. Raise alarm!”
3. When anyone whom you suspect to be DCI, NIS or Police approaches you, press “send to all” and notify your family members, friends, bloggers, media, @LawSocietyofKe, etc.
4. Make maximum noise. Resist. Don’t let them take you without maximum commotion.
5. Anyone and everyone who witnesses an abduction or receives the emergency alert should spread the message, make noise, chase the abductors. Don’t let them abduct anyone.
Consider any group of DCI, NIS and Police criminals who approach you in civilian clothes, masked, in unmarked motorcycles or vehicles to be killers.

#RutoMustGoNow
During the last campaign, if my memory serves me correctly, H.E. President @WilliamsRuto invoked the slogan “Wajinga waliisha Kenya” to emphasize accountability, a message that now seems all too real.
Observing current developments, I dare ask: given the way funds are allocated, where are the government's true priorities? It is clear that healthcare is not at the forefront.
Consider the five years of sacrifice by UHC staff @uhckenya254, who continue to receive meagre pay under punitive, dicriminative, and irregular contracts.
Unfortunately, no funds have been allocated for their transition to permanent positions.
To make matters worse, gratuity remains unpaid despite contracts renewed twice in blatant violation of the law.
Furthermore, there are no funds to post , pre-internship clinical officers , and other cadres pursuing internships. This is causing a lot of relaps, some doing already one and a half years waiting for posting.
The Cabinet Secretary for @MOH_Kenya Dr. @DeboraBarasa provides no satisfactory answers and appears helpless and aclear stste of confusion!!
As healthcare workers, we feel there is a crisis in the sector, and the list we can do is to demand concrete answers and tangible actions because empty promises do not cure patients.
The worsening state of our healthcare system calls for immediate and decisive intervention from the the Head of State. @KindikiKithure@kUCOofficial@GACOPA_official@WHO@Senate_KE@sellyamutabi@citizentvkenya@ntvkenya@RadioCitizenFM@Tv47Newske@ktnhome_
