The 'equal but different' message of complementarianism does not recognise that, when power & privilege are added to the context (as in @churchofengland), this becomes 'Know your place, know the things you can & can't do - because you are different.' #NotEqualYet
Guess which MP has received £224,575 from people + companies linked to the private health sector between Jan 2023- March 2025?
🚨Wes Streeting, our Health Secretary🚨

@SaulStaniforth Totally deranged and malicious. There's writing is on the wall. If Starmer wants a second term he needs about a million U-turns and several high profile sackings.
“The absolutist conservatives have done everything they can to block moves towards inclusion.” @charliebelllive absolutely right. I would put it even more strongly: exclusivists exclude & make people like us unwelcome. It’s theological cleansing. https://t.co/5HZnDlAmvE
I do really earnestly pray for all those to be ordained bishop tomorrow that they may indeed work for unity of @churchofengland in all its diversity.
Earnestly because the majority here may well want to strengthen the exclusion of LGBTQIA+ people like me in the church. They may well feel themselves not even in communion with many of us who are open about sexuality and support equal marriage. They may well even feel that because of that we are not really Christian.
When one of the those to be ordained compared meagre and minimal proposals from the House of Bishops as presented to @synod by @bishopSarahM to increase diverse representation in our Church as a manoeuvre akin to Mugabe’s Zimbabwe, some may well despair.
The level of ‘debate’ has become so toxic and it only those of us who are #LGBTQIA+ that are suffering the sacrificial burden of this utter duplicity at present. These lies that we live are not just abstract, but they shape real people of faith, with embodied lives in real parishes & communities.
Unity must no longer be at the cost of #LGBTQIA+ lives.
@charliekirk11 His will be done - really? Then why quote the Roman Empire way ‘Peace through strength’ rather that Jesus’ way of the servant king and non-violence.
Very much hoping @RachelReevesMP will listen. The country cannot cope with cuts. But the richest of us can absorb a tiny tax rise. Thank you @carla_denyer
If I was the training incumbent for that Curate I would be telling them how selfish they are and they would be apologising to you. You your son would be very welcome in our church. I love it when kids are noisy as it means a) they are present and b) I get a chance to engage.
Nye says that the Rochester Synod may not be aware of the Archbishop’s Council response to the Makin Report.
The report was four years late.
The Support Scheme is failing.
The Redress Scheme doesn’t exist.
That’s precisely why they have no confidence. https://t.co/uEpmuQk7UY
@PeterStefanovi2@DanielKebedeNEU Aa a school governor I can say with absolute certainty that there is nowhere to make any cuts without affecting the students care. We were better off with the Tories m, at least we knew they heartless and didn’t give a shit. This lot pretend to care and then shaft you anyway.
BREAKING:
A Church of England diocese led by the former Lead Bishop for Safeguarding breaks ranks with the status quo and calls out the Archbishops' Council for its safeguaridng failings.
Time for the whole Archbishops' Council, including @CottrellStephen and William Nye, to go
