We know a BBQ won’t solve everything—but it’s a pretty good place to start. 🔥🍔
In celebration of America’s 250th, we challenge you to host a BBQ and invite someone who sees the world differently. 🇺🇸
Share a meal, spark a conversation, and discover what connects us—bite by bite.
Because building community doesn’t start with agreement. It starts with showing up.
Take a #BiteToUnite this summer. Host a Builders BBQ at https://t.co/WbWcvD5ZJP. The first 250 hosts to register will receive a free Builders Starter Kit to help spark conversation.
After the Abundant Life school shooting, more than 100 Wisconsinites came together to have a real, tough conversation about guns, safety, and solutions. This wasn’t about pushing an agenda. It was about listening, challenging assumptions, and finding common ground to keep kids safe.
Still one of my favorite messages about what it really means to love our country.
@JohnCena reminds us that patriotism is about seeing everyone as part of America’s story…that’s the #BuildersMindset.
We’d be honored to have you with us, John. @BuildersMvt 🇺🇸 #WeAreAmerica
My latest piece at @nytopinion argues that there are plenty of voters who are not at the ideological extremes, but often times elites who want to organize "centrists" err in their assumptions of who the bulk of American centrists are. https://t.co/ED3ATwG1Ss
What’s keeping Texas from building common ground?
According to Texans themselves, it’s not just about ideological clashes or cultural divides. It’s a growing sense that the system isn’t built to serve the people who live here anymore.
Our latest statewide poll shows 85% believe lawmakers prioritize party agendas, personal ambition, and big donors over everyday citizens. Nearly three-quarters say leaders cater to the extremes, ignoring everyone else. And 95% agree elected officials should be held accountable to the public, not their own interests.
We conducted this poll to uncover the common ground that too often gets overlooked at the Capitol. Texans are more united than we’re led to believe, and it’s time lawmakers started listening. We believe the true problem-solvers in office—the Builders—will step up to help turn these shared priorities into lasting solutions.
Want to be part of the solution?
A movement of Builders is taking root in Texas.
Surprised by the Word of the Year? We’re not.
@MerriamWebster's 2024 Word of the Year is "polarization" — a reflection of the deep divides consuming our attention. We are at the forefront of this challenge, committed to equipping Americans with the tools to fight toxic polarization and solve our toughest problems together. We believe that the work we do can help transform the future, fostering a culture of thoughtful, humble conversations that move beyond the surface. It's easy to point fingers, but true progress comes when we acknowledge how we each contribute to the problem.
We’ve got a suggestion for a New Year’s resolution: to confront polarization with nuance, courage, and a willingness to listen and understand. Change starts when we challenge our own assumptions.
Please continue to pray for Dennis Prager. His condition has changed in a not so great direction. He has been diagnosed with pneumonia. Pray for @SuePrager and the Prager family. @prageru
Nearly half of Americans serving life without parole are elderly, reports @SentencingProj. The number of elderly people serving LWOP is set to spike in the coming years, yet prisons continue to be unprepared to handle their needs. https://t.co/AWFRiOVew5 ##EndExtremeSentences
Builders Power Rankings are in…
Panelists @KarlRove, @AndrewYang, and @karaswisher react to the top builders and dividers for the week of Oct. 8.
Rep. Jennifer Weston (D-VA) and Sen. Todd Young (R-IN) are this week’s top Builders, while controversial moves from Clay Higgins (R-LA) and party leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) land them as Dividers.
@NC_Governor If the first suggestion to accommodate for the loss of funding from the program is to CUT arts, AP, gifted programs, teachers and not cut the administrators, this might be why there’s a problem.
@joncoopertweets Using the expressive art of drag queens to insult those you don’t agree is an insult to both. I thought you were better than this, @joncoopertweets
