You start making progress with your life once you realize that there is no perfect relationship, no perfect draft, no perfect investment, no perfect house, no perfect diet, no perfect city, no perfect job, no perfect choice, no perfect life.
You try, you fail, you "waste" time, you self-reflect, you grow as a person, you do better next time, some people join you along the way, some others leave, and one day, you too will be gone, and no one will even remember that you ever existed, no one will be judging your missteps and detours either, so the sooner you start living truly for yourself, the sooner you will start discovering what life truly has to offer.
You are anxious when you spend too much time either in the past or in the future, and forget that it's focusing on the present that will help you simultaneously let go of the past, but also reach the future you want.
You become physically and mentally weak when your life is too comfortable. Growth comes with pain. If you don't push your limits every day, you accumulate anxiety, anger, frustration. You were never meant to settle down. You are meant to become who you didn't know you could be.
If you are getting older, and life isn't getting better, it's probably because you are scared:
scared of quitting that job that doesn't make you grow as a person,
scared of leaving behind that relationship that makes you suffocate,
scared of taking the risks that you know you should be taking,
scared of getting rid of old, toxic habits, because you find emotional comfort in them,
scared of moving to a city where you will have more serendipitous opportunities,
scared of slowing down a bit, and taking the time to unlearn who you are and reeducate yourself,
scared of diving deeply into your old trauma in order to understand them and finally heal,
scared of being betrayed by someone you love, so you chose to "love" only superficially,
scared of the responsibilities that come with being someone that other people can rely on.
A healthy lifestyle is simple: enough deep work to keep your mind calm, enough time with your family and friends to not forget where you come from, enough time reading to stay humble about how much you don't know, and enough exercise to enjoy the journey in the best conditions.
Your most valuable assets will be the same in twenty years:
- a healthy, fit body that shows discipline
- a clear mind that shows ambition, curiosity
- a loving family and loyal friends who care
- the freedom to live on your own terms
- a meaningful purpose that makes you grow
When #Bitcoin’s market price was low, they wrote literally thousands of articles about our supposed losses.
Now that #Bitcoin’s market price is way up, if we were to sell, we would make a profit of over 40% (just from the market purchases), and our main source of BTC is now our citizenship program.
We won’t sell, or course; at the end 1 BTC = 1 BTC (this was true when the market price was low and it’s true now); but it’s very telling that the authors of those hit pieces, the “analysts”, the “experts”, the “journalists”, are totally silent now.
Remember this, next time they spill lies again about El Salvador.
