Working on math challenges from @nrichmaths this week! Ss tried to make rows and columns of dominoes that each equaled 8. We are working on making mistakes in learning and enjoying successes when we finally work out a solution!

Ended our financial literacy unit by playing different versions of Monopoly! Students bought and sold properties with cash and even credit cards! @Hasbro which version should we try next? 🎲

Fraction bingo was a fun challenge today! Ss had to find lowest common denominators to add and subtract fractions with unlike denominations! @TDSBmath @AllenbyPS_TDSB

Ss had a great day baking with pastry chef Joanne Yolles! We used our knowledge of measurements and fractions to help us make these yummy treats🧁 & thanks to our sous-chefs (parent volunteers) @TDSBmath @AllenbyPS_TDSB

Day 2 at @SOESKearney : we learned about predators & their prey, walked camp using maps, howled like wolves and looked at stars. Another great day!

A unique and special experience to get to visit another school and learn about their students and program! Room 114 is looking forward to the next few months at @TDSB_ParkLane with Mr.Ashford’s class

Today was our first visit to @TDSB_ParkLane. Over the next few months, we’ll get to know the students and develop original assistive devices to make everyday activities more accessible.

R gave a special presentation today on how to combine coding and measurement! We inputted formulas and wrote code to help us calculate area and perimeter of shapes. Thanks R for showing us your passion and teaching us something new! @TDSBmath @AllenbyPS_TDSB

Mme G won the chance to be our teacher for the day through this year’s @AllenbyPS auction! She did an art project with the class, gave a pop quiz and played some @Kahoot games with us. She even got a special teacher treat and gift! Thanks, Mme G 🍎

The grade 6s from room 111&114 had fun learning about electricity today with @Sci_in_School 💡we made our own circuits and tested different types of conductors & insulators. Thank you Scientist Rachelle for your help!
