It can stunt growth (but early normal puberty can also stunt growth) girls who are 10 are within the normal age range but still might end up shorter

That happened only after she retired, after his father died, & when we lived on her side of the country. She always had control over him, she just didn't use it all the time

But the moment they make a life choice that doesn't suit the parent's needs they're suddenly just kids. It's the parent in this situation that needs growing up.

Her entitlement and exclusivity over this relationship goes beyond a healthy parent/child bond. It's going to negatively impact her son & his future relationships.
