Banks in SA continue to nickel and dime clients on fees. Email is ridiculously low cost to send, hence it’s mainstream in everyone’s lives, but now a cash grab opportunity it seems. @StandardBankZA do you charge similar fees like this to @FNBSA ? If not, please contact me.

PSA for S. Africa @LiftAirlineSA has become a normal airline. Free cancellation up to 24hrs before no longer the case. Only “free” changes.

In summary, @LiftAirlineSA has become a stock standard airline - which is their right ofcourse. But treat it as such in your decision making process.

⁠For the “free” changes up to 24 hours before - if the new flight is cheaper, you won’t get any money / credit back , so it’s not actually free, there is an implied penalty if your new flight is cheaper

When you cancel , it’s R300 fee pp . But you still won’t get your money back. You’re still required to take it back to Lift wallet. Previously, it was free cancellation but the condition was it stayed in the Lift wallet - why still Lift wallet if not free?

@LiftAirlineSA value proposition (to me) was the flexibility. That’s now gone. @FlySafair has far more flight options, and the “flexibility” policies seem to be (practically speaking) very similar.

Beware of @AbsaSouthAfrica new campaign of promoting self service access to your tax certificates. They charge a R10 fee? What?? And it won’t even display but you still get charged.

Hey @dbrand , I love your Apple device skins, have bought them for years.. but this metallic one for my iPad Pro M4 is already scratched and marked after being in my Magic Keyboard case for about 3 hours! Not great, and it’s not cheap ofcourse 😕

@FlySafair Everytime I’ve tried (in the last few months, and today), parts of it work until one tries to select flights or book - then it says “you appear to be offline” or similar. Switch to normal browser and then suddenly no issues
