Yes! If you're Windows, you MUST:
> swap File Explorer with Filepilot.

> swap Task Manager with TaskSlinger.

Both are superior, lightweight, ultra fast counterparts.
I'm on Windows bc gamedev, but I avoid Microsoft apps.
@rfleury Almost 3 three months here, hard to juggle all the things one needs to do. But damn it's a new level of profoundness unlocked! Completely novel and fantastic feeling!

If you write simple code and performance oriented architecture, you have to spend significantly less time micro optimizing and hacking around performance bottlenecks. The sheer amount of hacks and micro optimizations eventually collapse your whole code base. That's the wrong way.
I've implemented both x86 emulation and CSS layout.
Assembly is fundamentally simple, but difficult to master.
CSS is fundamentally insane, and impossible to master.
The most popular C++ talk at the CppCon YouTube channel is a C guy telling the entire C++ community to stop writing inefficient code.
You just gotta love it.
@JettpackPenguin @perfectrandom_ You can turn it off by turning gyro h/v sensitivity to zero. But we will improve the controls in the near future with more settings. The tearing is strange? It runs at 180 fps, and no tearing on my 120hz TV. I will try different TV settings and see if I can get tearing.
@krymzen_n@DZimmyCZ@perfectrandom_ I'm the dude who implemented it, and for me the roll was so much more precise and natural, going for yaw was very janky. But that might have been because of how I sat and held the controller. I'm curious what most games do? Maybe a blend?

Exciting news! I've partnered with @unity to bring you a Pro Training course on converting a project from GameObjects to ECS. Here I discuss profiler metrics to watch to determine if ECS is right for you. Then I convert this traffic sim to ECS while maintaining vehicle logic.
Doing a livestream today with Justin from @Opsive talking about making behavior trees with DOTS!
We'll be live earlier than usual at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 4pm UTC
