When the Turks found the Greek bishop Dionysios the Philosopher in 1611, they flayed him alive, stuffed his skin with straw, and paraded it from city to city. Eventually, this "attraction" reached Constantinople, where it was received with enthusiasm by the muslims.

Many churches and monasteries were destroyed, such as that of Saint Demetrios at Dichouni, and their properties were confiscated. Many inhabitants of these areas were killed, enslaved, or forced to convert to Islam, while most of the survivors scattered into the mountains.

From the fall of Constantinople in 1453 until 1822, the Greeks suffered systematically unimaginable tortures and slaughters for their faith. It was barbarism that the human mind cannot imagine or comprehend. These are dark pages of history that the world does not know.

One of the most horrific tortures during the Ottoman period was that of the hooks or "tsigkelia", as the Muslim Turks called them. On the walls of cities or on specially erected scaffolds, large hooks with sharp, sharpened points were fixed. The naked victim, a Christian, was thrown onto the hooks from high up on the walls or was hoisted up with special pulleys and dropped onto the hooks of the scaffolds. There he remained impaled for days, tormented by terrible pains until he finally expired. If, moreover, the hooks had not pierced a vital organ, the torture could last several days.

Historical accounts mention the presence of such a scaffold with hooks in the central square of Heraklion (Candia), where many Cretans, mainly rebels, met their tragic end.

The Ottoman lords had a well-known proverb on their lips: "A head that does not bow falls." The execution of the sentence was carried out in public view by a specialized executioner called makelaris (a Greek-Byzantine word meaning "butcher"), with the well-known curved Ottoman sword, the yataghan. The victim arrived at the place of slaughter ridiculed and publicly shamed. Before the execution he had, as a rule, been beaten and often mutilated. The punishment itself was painless and instantaneous, but the entire preceding process made it agonizing. The body and head remained exposed for days. Often the victim's head was impaled on a pole and paraded through the city, especially if the victim happened to be an officially wanted person. Other times it was preserved and sent to the Sultan himself. Still other times the head remained hung or impaled in a prominent position for days, until the natural decomposition of its features began.

The torture of beheading was naturally also connected with the fate of the Four Martyrs who concern us in the present work. Indeed, the Synaxarion of the Saints confirms everything we have said so far. After harsh tortures and public humiliation through the streets of Rethymno, the Saints ended up in the square of the Great Gate, which today bears their name in their honor, to be beheaded.

Apart from the official executions, there were also the mass slaughters of Christian populations in cases where the Islamic-Ottoman state wanted to demonstrate its power. The main pretext for the massacres was reprisals against revolutionary movements. Alongside the official figures who were publicly executed (bishops, notables, etc.), unruly hordes of Janissaries would rush into Christian homes, break down doors, kill anyone they found in front of them, and then plunder the house, seizing whatever they liked. When leaving, in many cases they also set the house on fire.

Theochares Detorakis, in his "History of Crete", conveys a chilling piece of information. When they killed Bishop Gerasimos of Rethymno in 1821, they opened his chest, removed his heart, and sprinkled their banners with its blood in order to achieve victories against the infidels. The entire description of the incident directly evokes cannibalism from a primitive era.

BREAKING: DHS confirms to @FoxNews that a rideshare driver arrested in Montgomery County, MD for allegedly kidnapping & raping an underage girl during a ride is an illegal alien from the African country of Guinea who was caught & released at the AZ border by the Biden admin in 2023. He also has a prior rap sheet of sexually assaulting a minor in NYC from earlier this year.

DHS says Abdoulaye Dia of Lanham crossed the border illegally into Lukevilke, AZ on December 21, 2023 (one of the days my team and I were there doing live shots showing masses of African men crossing illegally), but was released into the U.S. by Border Patrol.

Dia was arrested by NYPD on June 10th for sexual abuse by forcible compulsion, forcible touching – sexual/intimate parts of another person, injure child less than 17, and sexual abuse without consent.

He’s now been arrested by police in Maryland for allegedly kidnapping and raping an underage teen girl during an Empower rideshare in which he was the driver. Police say he took her to a parking lot and raped her in his vehicle, and they believe there are more victims.

NEW: DHS confirms that a semi-truck driver arrested for killing two people in a multi-car crash in Southern California is an Indian illegal alien who was caught and released at the AZ border by the Biden admin & given a commercial driver's license (CDL) by the state of California. DHS says Chamkaur Singh was arrested by police in Moab, UT during a traffic stop after it was revealed he had a nationwide futile arrest warrant for homicide - vehicular manslaughter, in relation to a deadly crash he was involved in Ontario, CA in March in which he crashed into multiple cars, killing two people in separate vehicles.

DHS says Singh's California CDL remains active despite having multiple driving convictions on his CDL record for improper lane or location, following too closely, and speeding. ICE has placed a detainer on Singh with local law enforcement in Utah.

DHS statement: “This illegal alien from India is accused of causing a semi-truck crash that killed two people in California,” said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. “Due to the Biden Administration’s open borders and Gavin Newsom’s sanctuary policies, this criminal was released into our country and granted a commercial driver’s license. Despite having three convictions on his driving record, his CDL is still active."

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting after White inmate in a South Carolina jail run by a Black man just DIED OF THIRST on the floor of his cell... covered INCHES-DEEP IN FECES, with the water to his sink SHUT OFF.

He drank out of his OWN TOILET to stay alive.

He wrote letters to his father pleading for help because he was being tortured because he was White.

His name was Gary "Bubba" Blair, he was 43.

He was the caregiver for his own elderly father. He had two nephews he adored and a dog named Scrubby.

So why was he in jail?

In February, Bubba showed up at his sister's house wearing a sheriff's office golf shirt, a security badge, handcuffs, and pepper spray. Deputies arrested him for impersonating a police officer.

A judge found he wasn't mentally competent to stand trial and ORDERED the state to place him into treatment on June 3.

The South Carolina Office of Mental Health never followed through.

Bubba sat in that jail for 181 days waiting for a spot.

He passed away 51 days after a judge ordered them to get him help.

In April, he write a letter to his father:

"I've lost about 90 pounds so far. I'm starving to death in here; only two meals a day, that's it... you starve, and I also have to drink from my toilet and no mattress to sleep on, only a hard ground."

"I’ve been abused by staff and assaulted by everyone on the unit; I had to go 28 days without a shower... no help for a white man"

"The staff is very nasty to white inmates thanks to Troy Ellerbe and James Dixon."

Then in May, Bubba did something that will haunt me.

He wrote a letter to a CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE begging for help.

The letter had a bad address. It was returned. It never arrived.

Meanwhile, sources say the water to his sink was SHUT OFF. His cell floor and walls were covered in feces INCHES DEEP. He was alone. Never let out.

Other inmates, who got a few hours out of their cells, told the news they watched Bubba drink toilet water.

So they took an empty potato chip bag and filled it with water and pushed it through the food slot in his door!!!!!

Most of it spilled before it ever reached him.

On July 24th, jailers found him dead on the floor.

49 days later, the autopsy came back.

Cause of death: profound dehydration due to DEPRIVATION OF WATER.

Manner of death: HOMICIDE.

The report also found bed sores on his HEELS, consistent with a man lying on a concrete floor for days at a time.

Acute bronchial pneumonia.
Profound weight loss.
Physical evidence that he had been INGESTING TOILET WATER.

He had lost so much weigh and was in such poor condition, his sister and aunt went to the funeral home to see him... they did not recognize his body.

The sheriff fired the Black jail administrator 5 days after Bubba died, and refuses to say why.

Bubba Blair sang to old folks in nursing homes. He took care of his daddy.

He deserved so much better than dying of thirst on a concrete floor.

Say his name. Gary "Bubba" Blair.
