Patented MODULAR secondary barrier system to prevent down-time, 9/11-style breaches, firearms, and aerosolized chemical attacks on unlocked airline cockpits.
A must read thread from congressman @RepBrianFitz about a murdered 9/11 pilot’s widow, Ellen Saracini.
For years both have tried to mandate cockpit #SecondaryBarriers on ALL existing jets—not just newly built ones which that hasn’t even yet started…

As we approach the 20th anniversary of 9/11, I’d like to recognize one very special Hometown Hero—Ellen Saracini, wife of Capt. Victor Saracini, was killed after the flight he was piloting was hijacked & deliberately flown into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. (1/5)
✈️ MacLean, Government Accountability Project, and other advocates continued the campaign for secondary cockpit barriers.
In May 2024, President Biden signed the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024, forcing the FAA to mandate secondary cockpit barriers on commercial aircraft.
✈️ In 2004, the U.S. 9/11 Commission Report affirmed many of MacLean’s safety concerns. In 2015, the Supreme Court ruled 7-2 that MacLean’s disclosures were protected whistleblower actions and did not constitute grounds for dismissal.
✈️ MacLean's whistleblower disclosure and the resulting media scrutiny forced TSA to reverse their decision and reinstate the air marshals on the high-risk flights in question.
✈️ Despite MacLean’s warning and existing security risks, TSA cancelled air marshal coverage on numerous flights “to save money on hotel costs because there was no more money in the budget.”
After MacLean spoke up, he faced severe retaliation from TSA and lost his job.
✈️ As a federal air marshal, Robert MacLean blew the whistle in July 2003 that terrorist hijackers were planning a major attack before summer’s end, and they would do so by exploiting cockpit door vulnerabilities in U.S. planes.
✈️ During the tragic attacks on 9/11, hijackers simply waited for pilots to unlock their cockpits to acquire food, before forcing their way in to take over the plane.
Our whistleblower Robert MacLean @rjmaclean was instrumental in advocating for secondary cockpit barriers.
Today less than 1% of U.S. flights have cockpit #SecondaryBarriers despite mandate laws passed as late as 8 years ago.
Below are excerpts from the 9/11 Report published a year after my July 2003 Al Qaeda long-distance/cross-ocean flights attack plan disclosures. Most cockpit doors open away from the main cabin making it even easier to breach them after they're unlocked when pilots need to sleep, eat, or use the lavatory.
Thank you @GovAcctProj and @POGOwatchdog for supporting my efforts, going on 21 years and counting. A million thank-yous to @WhistleP2P and @FlyersRights for joining us later on!
25 years since the September 11, 2001 attacks and less than 1% of U.S. commercial passenger aircrafts have #SecondaryBarriers. Pages 5, 158, and 245 of the 9/11 Commission Report show that the hijackers "jammed their way in" the cockpits when the pilots unlocked them in order to get food or use the bathroom. Israel has mandated #SecondaryBarriers long before 9/11.
If you wonder why there's dangerously almost no accountability in our federal government:
The @USMSPB judge assigned to my second (2019) termination, Melissa Mehring, ruled in her 2020 order that I engaged in legally protected whistleblower activity from 2003 to 2018. During my 2021 MSPB hearing, my attorneys on multiple occasions motioned for Mehring to consider recusing herself for bias—she was always silent about her two-fold conflicts.
Mehring's MSPB supervisor, Jeremiah Cassidy, assigned her to my 2019 termination case despite the fact that in published Congress testimony my lead attorney excoriated him in a paragraph just before he cited my 2003-2005 Federal Air Marshal ("FAM") whistleblowing (see graphic):https://t.co/KItTaK7YRQ
A 2005 FAM case litigated by then-@DHSgov attorney Melissa Mehring:https://t.co/6aRz5Lxbks
Melissa Mehring later left DHS for the MSPB where she supervised the attorneys who helped draft the July 25, 2011 MSPB decision overturned by my Supreme Court win. 5 month before the 2011 decision was issued, Mehring was identified as "the Associate Director in the Office of Appeals Counsel" (audio at 1:20):https://t.co/uNle6gIqzq
The official job description for Melissa Mehring's 2009-2012 position as the MSPB Office of Appeals Counsel Associate Director:
"The attorneys in the Office of Appeals Counsel serve as the principal legal advisors to the three presidentially-appointed Board members. The office prepares proposed legal decisions and explanatory memoranda regarding issues raised in appellate-level cases.": https://t.co/xac2opSJaM
Today, Melissa Mehring is now at FAA-HQ which was forced by law to respond to my 2016 @US_OSC "danger to public" disclosures about the lack of cockpit #SecondaryBarriers:https://t.co/MzhOX3b1iu
The federal judge disqualification law, 28 U.S.C. § 455:
"He shall also disqualify himself in the following circumstances: . . . has a personal bias or prejudice concerning a party, or personal knowledge of disputed evidentiary facts concerning the proceeding . . . a lawyer with whom he previously practiced law served during such association as a lawyer concerning the matter...he has served in governmental employment and in such capacity participated as counsel"

The Wall Street Journal, initially skeptical that the U.S. Supreme Court exonerated me after I was charged for exposing @DHSgov's 2004 Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS) passenger surveillance program then fired the first time, and the confirmed fact that I was the very first to expose @TSA's #QuietSkies FAMS passenger surveillance program in April 2018—WSJ confirmed my 2004 and 2018 disclosures that got me fired a second time in 2019:

@PressSec I warned @DHSgov/@TSA about this almost 8 years ago and was soon fired a second time--3 years after the U.S. Supreme Court vindicated me 7 to 2 in 2015--I got the receipts...

Just shy of 8 years since my unlocked cockpit #fentanyl attack warning: today the @WhiteHouse published an Executive Order of "the potential for #fentanyl to be weaponized for concentrated, large-scale terror attacks by organized adversaries is a serious threat to the United States", #fentanyl is a "weapon of mass destruction", and #fentanyl is a "deadly chemical weapon".
@DHSgov/@TSA fired me (a second time) a year after my February 15, 2018 fentanyl weaponization warning to protect commercial aircrafts when pilots need to unlock the cockpit in order to sleep, eat, or use the lavatory--see pages 158 and 245 of the 9/11 Commission Report showing how the hijackers got inside the cockpits.
