Hitachi Energy’s fund raising
Since they own 75%, they cannot infuse more equity for invests, NOT doing from 100% owned new co, also
Sebi's RPT laws difficult to new co in same buz

Besides, potential for earning higher REAL RETURNS adjusted for taxes in REAL estate is more diff without indexation
Budget probably accelerate shift to equity MFs (from bank deposits), as savers should seek ASSETS With highest pretax returns to compensate for higher taxes?
Higher taxes on assets like equity, real estate ( due to removal of indexation), effectively, means investors/ savers have to generate MORE pre-tax returns on their capital. This clearly, will shift more asset allocation to the assets with highest returns ( which is equities)

ITC's mcap is 60bn$ vs BAT's of 67bn$, BAT has # 40bn$ of debt. Sales by MNCs listed in India ? High Indian mcap in relation to parent ( over 75%) - Whirlpool, Timken, ITC - Leverage @ parent level. So a deleveraging move.
