For me, 2026 will be the year of professional development.
Last few years, I did made couple of commitments but couldn't keep them up to the mark. Actually, I made myself comfortable doing unnecessary activities even after making serious commitments. One is, I used to spend enough time for entertainment.
Honestly, for the past couple of years, i was always online, learning about the recent developments happening in AI industry and ignored to work consistently on strengthening the foundations. The consistency i was supposed to keep at one place, was kept at another place, ultimately wasted a lot of my precious time.
Despite having couple of exciting and entertaining events ahead, this year, from now on, i am taking a break from all of them and decided to completely focus on learnings and implementations. So, now, i can save a lot of time by not doing that and stick to my agendas for this year.
More importantly, entertainment and distractions ate a lot of memory there by decreasing the efficiency of remembering the quality information from our memory. Distancing from them will again make my memory strong and remember essential things related to work and help me to achieve my own aspirations.
I have decided to take a break from the whole social media (@X, @instagram, @Snapchat, @YouTube, @WhatsApp (access only if it's necessary)) for this whole year. No consumption of information about current affairs, things happening around and just stay focused on what i have to do. Only posting stuff that is more important.
Additionally, everyone is advertising that the coding era is going to end very soon. I am not buying that because i strongly believe that it is the foundation for digital intelligence. I feel like, this year, i will be coding a lot more than i have coded for the past couple of years.
This year, my screen time, be it my personal laptop or my mobile phone, will be completely dedicated to the information related to ML, DL, Robotics, calls, important texts, chess and sudoku.
Completely restraining myself from social media, doesn't mean I won't post any kind of stuff on networking platforms like
@LinkedIn, @X. No, I share everything I go through to let everyone know what I am doing and share the technical information I learned in simple way possible.
I will be focusing on making @YouTube videos sharing things I have learnt. I will also be working on annotating research papers.
Very important goal for me this year is to get comfortable reading research papers, especially related to computer vision and at least implement few important architectures from scratch.
This year is dedicated to only die-hard work.
Sleep, Eat, Work, Repeat.
Let's freaking go.
@ylecun@francoisfleuret I think i have very simple one
Researcher: Experiment different ideas for better solutions.
Engineer: Implement better solutions to make products.
First @ChatGPTapp then @claudeai .....
i don't want to use @GeminiApp ....i don't know why.....
It's answers are not properly structured,
it's responses are limited,
it's responses are not in detail,
it's UI is also a problem...
Based on the kind of work the big AI companies are doing...
Only one kind of resulting can be expected.
AI Models are Inversely Propotional to Human Mind.
The more models get intelligent, the more common people lack intelligence.
