@lastchalice The son can share the same PS+ subscription as the father as long as the console they’re playing on is the home console for both accounts
PS+ is annoying but this is hypothetical situation is not accurately depicted
@DSR_Joker Too many unknowns / assumptions being made here
The only GaaS game that has made any profit whatsoever in any of this was Destiny. Yeah, I'd be pissed too...so I'd put a skeleton crew on Marathon temporarily, and move all active developers back to Destiny to get back to yellow
Some have told me that there’s a kind of desire for « revenge », as Sony’s leadership reportedly blames Bungie for a number of issues with their GaaS strategy. 🧵
As a massive Playstation fan, if this stuff about Sony and Bungie are verifiably true, this puts a massive red stain on Sony’s reputation, and makes me cautious to continue to invest in their platform
If this isn’t true, then it looks like Bungie itself was doomed for a while
@Liker004@dankkepng They revealed their hand in moments of triumph with the winnower saga
They know exactly where to go for a D3. The creative teams are shackled by leadership
@Aztecross I understand the cost side of things, but this new development is blowing my mind. It’s almost like they bought Bungie just to kill Bungie.
This is completely sullying Sony’s reputation in my mind. Complete garbage calls being made
@RGT_85 Sony by a long shot. Most PC gamers don’t care enough with console stuff to interact with anyone, Nintendo gamers are in their own lane, Xbox gamers know the position they’re in so they only get angry if cornered
Also Sony sucks because they killed Destiny. Sony. Final answer
@xonebros The issue isn’t the game didn’t sell. It’s the cost to make the game is bloated given the type of game it is and the market for said game
There was no way crimson desert doesn’t sell 5M copies. The opposite risk existed for SoM
Why did SoM cost almost as much as CD to make?
@majornelson You know what’s funny? Before, we were talking about em dashes.
Not vibes
Not hype
Just em dashes and emojis. And you know what, the more I think about it, the more I think you’re right
I hope marathon pops off but I just can’t see how Bungie stays alive
Destiny 2 brought so much money into that studio they were able to incubate 4 projects alongside it, one of those being marathon
I can’t fully wrap my head around the decision to put down the cash cow
