@UberUKI_Support Hi, I wanted to raise concerns regarding discrimination from Uber drivers towards those with mental health conditions and other disabilities. I cannot find an email to send my concerns to please? I have a number of anecdotes to share to raise the issue
Went to my boss & said 'I don't live near to head office so can I rent a house near it that you pay for & you also pay the bills'. Next I asked him if we could have a bar so we can get drunk while working
Sound ridiculous?
STOP MP's second homes & close the bars in Westminster
@apearcepowell Unfortunately unable to do this one as I didn’t get off my section in time and I’m still stuck inside. Next one though… there will be more. I have a lot to say 🙃🙂
If you go to a hospital, if you see any Doctor, except a GP.
The first one you see will be a Junior Doctor, they will have trained for at least 5 years and spent at least £45,000 to do so
The minimum wage is £11.44 they are on £16
Like if they deserve more
RT if it's ALOT more
I’ve got daughters who play football and the development I’ve seen in the girls game is amazing, it’s such a positive thing.
Yet I still come on here and see attempts to drag down women’s football with utterly non-sensical comparisons with the men’s game. It’s so stupid
To anyone else that’s been labelled a ‘complicated’ or ‘complex’ case because you don’t react the way a textbook says you should:
I see you, I empathise with you, I am you.
You are worthy of healing.
@Rachel_Luby I struggled this year with the anniversary of my last admission. Not from that admission all the years before, the flashbacks, the trauma and years of unnecessary suffering endured b/c of a misdiagnosis.
@CaraLisette Yup! My ED gave me tunnel vision and that was really helpful. When I starts to recover a whole other bunch of issues came up because I’d been coping with that with the ED.
That was the hardest part of recovery for me, having to deal with everything I’d buried with the ED
Maybe a controversial opinion: I think that not showing fresh self harm on social media should extend to headbanging injuries (which doesn’t often seem to be the case).
@autisticpuffin@CaraLisette When I was on wards and in mh services all the time, head banging was no where near what it’s like now. It’s definitely another unhelpful way to compete with sh behaviours.
My rapist said it was I who “brought out the monster in him”. Other men who’ve been inappropriate said it’s because I’m “too tempting”. Even at school a teacher said my smile was “too seductive”. How about we stop blaming women’s beauty and recognise misogyny as the problem?
I’m seeing mental health professionals posting details of suicide methods on wards in relation to Beth’s inquest. PLEASE DON’T DO THAT! I know you don’t mean any harm, but you actually might give someone who is very unwell an idea of how to harm themselves.
@jelenaoreilly I saw this in a news article and although a valid learning point for staff this could have been disseminated via professional bodies instead of the news. People are are unwell and see it might get a new idea from it that is unfortunately successful. Very very sad !!
it's actually crazy we figured out how to grow real diamonds that are cheaper and better quality than the real thing and so many people are still like, no thanks the suffering is what makes it special.
