The dangerous conditions that constituted a serious hazard to Craighead County Arkansas have lessened with the rain that we have received in the last few days. A ban on all such open burning is lifted by the County Judge ED Hill of Craighead County. Arkansas.

THE BURN BAN FOR CRAIGHEAD COUNTY CONTINUES:

A wind advisory is in effect across northern portions of the
Midsouth from late this morning through late this afternoon.

Elevated fire weather conditions are expected across much of the
Midsouth this afternoon.

The burn ban is still in place.

At this time we are under a Red Flag warning (Fire Weather).
With the combination of gusty winds...low relative humidity values
and low fuel moisture levels there is a significant danger of wild fires.
We continue to watch the weather for change.
