Like many, I have been struggling with SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe v Wade, particularly for the profound consequences it could have on my daughters. After many sleepless nights, I wrote them this letter. https://t.co/tAMwFocUof
@defense_diaries I re-listened to the call from Justin to the police and the officer tells him (or Courtney) that he wouldn’t be there when the restraining order is filed but that he can be ‘close by’ so they can bring the baby to him.
If you don’t think there’s an attack on women’s health, you’re not paying attention.
Let me spell it out:
– Reproductive rights are being restricted.
– There’s little to no structural support for working mothers, pushing women out of the workforce.
– Funding for women’s health research is being cut.
– Women are being told their place is at home, making them financially vulnerable.
– Policies are literally erasing the word “women” from official documents.
– And this is happening while women already face major barriers to accessing healthcare.
This isn’t random. It’s systemic.
James Talarico: “These Christians in Congress, these Christian Nationalists, they want a Christian nation unless it means providing healthcare to the sick. Unless it means funding food assistance for the hungry. Or raising the minimum wage for the poor. None of their policies resemble the teachings of Jesus.”

We treat guns like the right treats abortions.
Just because we don't TALK about them doesn't mean we don't HAVE them
