It took me years to learn that self-care is a necessity, discipline, and non-negotiable.
BL: Successful leaders practice self-care, and empower others to do the same. They increase their overall well-being and performance. And they don’t apologize for it.
Service commended🎖The courage and professionalism of #HMNZSWellington’s crew members on the Whakaari / White Island response in 2019 has been recognised in the New Zealand Defence Force commendations this week.

Creating tomorrow today. Fantastic to be able to gather with @CDF_NZ & our CWOs to talk about the current with an eye to the future. Uncertain times yet there is still much that can be done. My thanks to the team for representing ground truth & guiding us through some options.
Today is @newzealandrsa's #PoppyDay. Personnel, staff and families have been out collecting donations in exchange for poppies around New Zealand. The poppy reminds us of the sacrifices made – both past and present. Donate to the RSA Poppy Appeal ⬇️ https://t.co/IgdRjoOwbG

1/2 Believe. By her own admission, attaining a university degree was not something Monique thought was in her grasp. My observation is that she is not alone, especially amongst our enlisted personnel @SEAC_Defence @WOJOPS_Aust @WONAustralia @Vigilance108
Our thoughts are with our military partners and the families and friends of personnel from three nations who have lost their lives after a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed in the Sinai during a routine mission.
All NZDF personnel in the Sinai are safe and well.
