In Bundelkhand, a high-intensity rainfall event in 2021 became a turning point. Thanks to strategically placed water-harvesting structures, a significant share of the runoff was captured, resulting in groundwater levels rising by 4–6 meters.

This remarkable transformation from a drought-prone landscape to a region of productive agriculture demonstrates a scalable model for vulnerable communities worldwide.
