@B_Sommermann Sports talk in this town has been god awful for years. Its almost a blessing they dont care/talk hockey, so flyers fans can find more intelligent hockey media in the podcast world.
All things considered, PHI played a hell of a game last night. Went toe to toe with arguably the best team in the Eastern Conference.
These are valuable games of experience for young teams - even in losing efforts.
@F77110076@JoyOnBroad Also, I don't know what's going on in his head, and admittedly he has had quotes that are harsh a truthful in the past after big losses. That being said, he has got to be wondering if Edmonton is where he can win if the team can't fix the d Corp and goaltending
@F77110076@JoyOnBroad Basically, when you sign a short term deal instead of long term that is McDavid saying.. I think I can win here, but you need to fix the glaring needs of the team. By publicly stating they were "average" that's effectively saying to management you failed to fix the issues.
@JoyOnBroad When you sign a short term deal you are effectively telling management here is your chance to fix the teams need, by publicly saying the team was "average" you are saying to management you did not fix the issues that stopped me from signing long term in the first place.
Most underrated part of Yorkβs game-winning goal was work of Noah Cates. From face off win, scramble to net front, screenβ¦ all the small things lead to big things!
I think we have to be careful sometimes suggesting there was an abundance of "outside criticism." Just because a couple dozen people on this awful app are disproportionately loud (and often misinformed) it doesn't mean that represents broad opinion. Just my two cents.
@billmeltzer@billmeltzer Don't Caps and BJs play each other last game of the season... Someone must win, so one of your scenarios is wrong, but the point still holds... FINISH IT TONIGJT YOURSELF, #Letsgoflyers
