Listening to Psalm 46 at Christmas time, I heard an affirmation of life, necessitated by living it to its fullest degree. @megha_lilly Doing things with your kids rather than “teaching” them will make them infinitely more robust. Problem now is even parents don’t know how to do anything but watch tv and order food.

Its purposeful. The tv and media is the mechanism.

A few years ago I started bringing up the fact that the narrative given to kids in the town I grew up in was that you need to leave to be successful. I asked my friends if they ever felt this, and many of them could see it, but many of them couldn’t see it. But we all left.

Recently I was recovering tapes of my family interviewing my grandma. She talked about how my grandfather used to take a wagon 20 miles daily in the summer with his dad to move bricks to build a school for his even smaller home town.

In two short generations we went from building our towns to globalism consolidating everything and being given the only option of abandoning what our grandparents built by hand.

People are conditioned to being in on things that appeal to their good person or smart person personas. They let their guard down when they feel like knowing something or feeling “the right way” as signaled to them by others makes them superior. First NPR and these just so sayers, but it came hard with social media validation too. People yearn to collect the right opinions now rather than having their own.

Notion Buttons

1. Button Row (for navigations or multiple actions. Horizontally displaying buttons now is tedious and messy in a layout. Similar to tabs but use case is very different. Functionality is just buttons.
2. Open page/link etc option has full page, but what about full page in new tab? ⌘ click does not work.

@mymind is doing it great. Page type interpretations (but with the ability to select type) would be killer. Notion would make this great by enabling editing of capture. Routing types to certain databases. Page highlight/element capture. Different formats for capture full page, link and title, image, quote. Blocks vs new page, vs database entry.
