The @MOH_Kenya to explore innovative revenue generation strategies in bridging the funding gap and reducing dependence on constrained public resources and out-of pocket spending.
Today marks the successful conclusion of the High-Level Dialogue on Healthcare Financing for UHC in Kenya!Throughout this remarkable event, we engaged in insightful discussions, shared innovative ideas, and collaborated towards a common goal: achieving universal health coverage through sustainable domestic financing.
As we reflect on the strategies and interventions discussed, it's time to transform them into actionable plans that will drive tangible change. Our key focus areas were:
🔸 More money for Health;
🔸 More health for the money;
🔸 Equity and Financial Protection;
🔸 Leadership and Governance.
Governments need to progressively increase health sector financing as per the Abuja declaration by 2030. This will enable the country to cover the cost of implementing Universal Health Coverage & gradually increase financing of family planning commodities from domestic resources
Strong political commitment is essential for achieving #FP2030Commitments. CSOs need to continuously have dialogue with policymakers, provide evidence-based recommendations & advocate for increased funding & policy reforms
Together, we can make family planning a reality for all.
Limited access to family planning products hampers progress toward achieving reproductive rights and gender equality. It's time to prioritize removing financial, cultural, and geographical barriers that hinder individuals from accessing the care they need.
