Looking forward to the continuation of the interactive map where people can plot suggestions for improvements to cycling, walking, and public transport infrastructure - a good example of direct democracy. @WestYorkshireCA@CityConnect1
This is good news... but please make sure it happens (with more funding!) by objecting the proposals to abandon this West Yorkshire ex-railway tunnel, which should become a cycling/walking greenway! https://t.co/MTejkIyEhT
Yorkshire's Queensbury Tunnel gets £1m from government to help 'greenway' bid
But Bradford council bosses say much more funding is needed if the tunnel is to transformed

🏡Working from home might have been a culture shock but for those who couldn't, you might need to commute 🚲
🚗Removing road traffic has allowed for massive reductions in congestion in & out of Leeds & provided a chance for pollution 🌬 in Leeds to greatly reduce.

Britain's most-cancelled train revealed, and unsurprisingly it is a Northern Rail service
The worst-performing service was cancelled more than half of the time https://t.co/KoeNsucWeY
Good to see @Leeds_Highways investing in cycling infra on H'gate Rd / Ring Rd roundabout. However, it seems like commuters aren't using it: the extra traffic lights slow journeys; it stops suddenly; & it's partly tiled meaning it's slippery. Should be better consultations w users
I raised the issue of promoting #cycling/#walking/#rail transport over electric cars, which contribute to low-density car culture and can be environmentally harmful themselves (although obviously better than fossil fuel-powered!).
@matthewhodg@martin_lowe @Ogilvie_CJ @stophs2@RAIL No I'm saying the SOBC isn't the same as the BC document produced for HS2, so the type of analysis isn't comparable.
@matthewhodg@martin_lowe @Ogilvie_CJ @stophs2@RAIL Yes, i would refer to the SOBC at present, as the government has so far failed to committ to NPR so hasn't produced an analysis comparable to HS2's. Meanwhile, we know the business, social, and environmental case against HS2: https://t.co/PqvHbwTILe
