I've been dealing with crypto since 2013. Tezos is what eth was supposed to be. You can argue about the price of the token but you can't argue that technologically, it is what eth is trying to become and never will be.
You were actually very kind when we talked in DM. I was very small back then, and you were huge. You were known to be strongly anti-tez, yet I had asked you the reason why, to which you expressed your distrust about the foundation, rooted in the ICO era. I didn't attempt asking for more details and risk to upset you. You were the reason why I made due diligence to investigate that history and make my own conclusions.
I read that long article on Wired from 2018. Later on got closer to ArthurB and had a chance to ask him all the sensitive questions face to face. He was incredibly honest about it. It then seemed to me that you had been triggered or frustrated by outdated controversies, and never really moved on...
For me it was the opposite, it reinforced my loyalty to the chain and got stronger empathy for the founders. Not that I always approve all the decisions the foundation made over the years (sigh), nor belittle the effects of some of their mistakes, but I'm not basing my position on rumors. The fact that art is the only part of the chain that strived wasn't in the founders' plan, but that's how it is today. Over the last years they made huge improvements to acknowledge and support us artists and collectors.
Anyway we weren't lied about, and one has to respect our choice of where we minted our art. Tezos has been home to an outstanding outpour of creativity and generosity, bringing together artists and collectors for the love of art and rarely the greed for big bucks. Those who stay do it to support each other, even if that doesn't pay the bills. Tezos provided a secure, still evolving, more than capable technical soil for us to take root and grow. It'd be great if they could magically fix the token's value though. Kind of a bummer tbh. Can't help with that, but showing support to the artists/collectors/builders, at least with the sentiment, has always been an affordable option.
The goal is simple, as little issuance as needed, as much burn as possible. The latter is much harder of course, but despite a lot of headwinds, the Tezos ecosystem clocks about 350,000 transactions a day.
@IDoctorWhoI DoctorChad, mint some XPUNKS only a few more till it sells out. I made the series to celebrate @tezos and the X upgrade… https://t.co/ajGYIhkOFo
