@AlecMacGillis American society has essentially deemed traffic laws optional. Drivers feel 100% entitled to drive in whatever reckless manner they want and chafe at any suggestion otherwise.

Newly released study shows that separated bike lanes reduce maximum car speeds by 28%, average speeds for turning cars by 21%, and 8% for cars going straight.

If cities want to reduce speeding, they should install separated/protected bike lanes—it’ll also get more people biking!

I didn't see too much damage from last nights storms but a tree did take out the northbound D-line bus stop at 14th & Chicago. 😲
