HOT TAKE: The GOP not codifying most DOGE cuts is the single stupidest decision in the history of Republican Party.
They ALL talked about cutting spending... and that's all they did.
Elon came in with a team and a plan...
...and the GOP didn't give a damn, so disappointing
Muslim parents "demanded" a ban on pork at a school in a city in the Netherlands.
The mayor of that place responded with wise words!
"Muslims must understand that they must adapt to the Netherlands, their customs, their traditions, their way of life, because it was the country they chose to emigrate to.
They must understand that they are the ones who must integrate and learn to live in the Netherlands.
They must understand that they are the ones who must change their lifestyle, not the Dutch.
You must understand that the Dutch are not racist or xenophobic.
We accept many immigrants, from many countries with different cultures and religions, which are Islamic countries that do not accept non Islamic immigrants.
Therefore, the Dutch are not willing to give up their identity and their culture.
In conclusion, they must understand that in the Netherlands, with their Jewish Christian roots, Christmas trees, churches, and religious parties, the religion must remain in the Netherlands.
For Muslims who disagree with the Dutch culture and religion and do not feel comfortable in the Netherlands, there are 57 beautiful Muslim countries around the world, most of them populated and ready to receive them with open arms, according to the sharia.
If you leave your country to come to the Netherlands, and not to a Muslim country, it is because you have seen a better life in the Netherlands than where you come from.
THIS IS THE WAY TO TREAT PEOPLE COMING IN THAT ARE THEIR TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRIES! IF YOU DONT LIKE IT? GO HOME!
This is insane…
An advanced Alzheimer’s patient just REGAINED her memory, speech, mobility, AND bladder control after a SINGLE dose of psilocybin.
There are NO Alzheimer’s drugs capable of doing anything CLOSE to this.
Talked to a Stanford prof last night who told me that AI has led to students all acing all the homeworks, never showing up to office hours, and then failing the final exams in-person.
So in response the department is changing the TA's purpose, by eliminating office hours and requiring students meet with TAs 1:1 and walking them through each coding assignment to demonstrate they actually understand what's going on in the code.
In college, one of my education professors lamented that we could identify a struggling student in kindergarten and predict, with great accuracy, that he’d still be struggling in sixth, ninth, and twelfth grade.
He spoke as though the prediction itself helped cause the failure. But recognizing a problem isn’t the same as creating it.
What is actually cruel is watching that prediction come true while insisting the child remain in classes that move faster than he can learn, year after year, as he falls further behind, all while we congratulate ourselves for including him.
At some point, he needs instruction at a pace and level that will actually help him catch up. If that requires a different classroom, then we should give him one.
We talk about inclusion in a classroom as somehow providing a student access to education, but there is nothing compassionate about giving a child a front-row seat to an education he cannot access because we refuse to acknowledge his limitations.

In 1982, Titanic survivor Ruth Becker was giving a speech. She explained how she watched the massive ship snap completely in half before it sank.
Mid-sentence, an "expert" literally snatched the microphone out of her hand. He publicly humiliated her, telling the crowd she was "confused" and that the ship sank in one piece.
For 70 years, that was the official history. Exactly 3 years later, they found the wreck on the ocean floor.
It was broken clean in two. Ruth was right all along.
Concrete hardens through a chemical reaction called hydration (water reacting with cement compounds to form calcium silicate hydrate crystals) not through drying; this is why concrete can be poured and cured underwater, and why keeping concrete moist after pouring actually makes it stronger, not weaker.
Mathematics.
Free Game Theory book. "An Open Access Textbook with 165 Solved Exercises."
Book begins: "After teaching game theory (at both the undergraduate and graduate level) at the University of California, Davis for 25 years, I decided to organize all my teaching material in a textbook. ... There are two distinguishing features of this textbook: (1) it is open access and thus free, and (2) it contains an unusually large number of exercises (a total of 165) with complete and detailed answers. I tried to write the book in such a way that it would be accessible to anybody with minimum knowledge of mathematics (high-school level algebra and some elementary notions of probability) and no prior knowledge of game theory."

🚨 BREAKING: The Trump administration is reportedly drafting a plan pushed by JD Vance to give federal child care funds to married couples with a STAY-AT-HOME SPOUSE while the other parent works — NYT
The program could be $9K per year for these families
The goal: make it easier for married Americans to let one parent take care of the children, rather than both work and pay others to take care of the children
This could create an incentive for parents to "stay at home with their children"
Apparently, this is similar to a MARCO RUBIO proposal when he was Senator 👀
It sounds like this would be under current federal programs, not new laws passed by Congress
Elon Musk explains how Tesla owners will make money from its Cybercab fleet:
“For the fleet that is owned by our customers, it’ll be like an Airbnb thing. You can add or subtract your car to the fleet whenever you want.
You can say, ‘I’m going away for a week.’ Just one tap on your Tesla app, your car gets added to the fleet, and it just makes money for you while you’re gone. You can add it to the fleet for a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks.
Whenever you want it back, you can say, ‘Come back,’ and the car will come right back. I’m highly confident that the revenue made by the owner of the car will far exceed the actual monthly payment.”
