@happyhappyhenri For a time Livingston FC played at the Tony Macaroni Arena (a restaurant chain) nicknamed the "Spaghetti-had". Also Dundee FC play at the Scot Foam stadium.
@BellsdykeBairn@Shirt_Disciple@thetimes That's really not true. The players who represented Scotland in their first international match all came from Queen's Park FC who played in navy blue. The players wore their QPFC kit in that Scotland match. Thus navy blue was established as the national team colour.
@scotlandscoeff1@tagsbo I only found out recently that there were no Rangers players in the 1954 squad because the club was touring Canada that summer and refused to release players for the world cup!
I know retailers are blaming the government for their difficulties but they really don't help themselves these days. I went to @BootsHelp at 9am to collect a prescription. Not open yet. I went to @sainsburys to buy a paper. No papers yet. When are they due? Don't ask me guv.
@tgjonesuk opens 8.30am, I'll try them. Closed. Eventually they open at 9.10am, no apology to people waiting. Back to @BootsHelp - still closed but staff working inside. Phoned the store - pharmacist is running late so we're opening at 10am, bye. This is UK retail in 2026.
Imagine feeling the life leaving your body as you beg for help, your murderer standing over you chatting casually with the police as they handcuff you, at the whim of the murderer's lies. All whilst making sarcastic comments about your cries for help.
Our entire two tier system laid bare in a scene of sick ideological corruption and unadulterated evil.
I’ve cried over this. I imagine millions more will too. Henry Nowak should not have died like this. The police officers are a disgrace. I can’t imagine how the family saw this and kept their dignity in court today.
An Austrian Tongue Choir from the Alps region of Tyrol sings ‘Moscow Nights’ with their tongue in a 1982 performance.
If not for the Internet, we’d never know music videos like this existed.
@CraigHouston_ My old school. When it closed in 1981 the regional council tried to dispose of it but discovered Lord Newlands gifted the land on condition that any building was used as a public resource for the benefit of local people. Presumably Wheatley have somehow managed to overcome this?
@SnookerNStuff@theiaincameron@BrilliantMaps The map was used in a Brilliant Maps article where he gives https://t.co/61xERiLBb3 full credit upfront.
